From salads to wraps, this sweet and tangy Honey-Mustard Dressing tastes good on practically everything!

It may be nearly fall, but if you ask me, we’re still deep in salad season! You know salad season, right? It’s the time of year when it’s always sunny, and it stays light out forever, and the only thing you want to eat is crisp, refreshing greens.
Maybe this is just a “me” thing, but I live for salad season. If you’ve seen my recipe for honey-balsamic dressing, you already know about my journey into salad-making. As a kid who thought salads were all things gross, my younger self would be shocked to see that I’m basically Peter Rabbit now. And with great salads come great dressings, like this honey-mustard dressing.
If you ask me, the dressing makes the salad. You could go tangy, sweet, savory, or spicy, and you’ll always end up with a totally different (albeit always delicious) flavor profile. Honey-mustard dressing is no exception—it brings a creamy balance of sweet and tangy that’ll make you want seconds. And thirds. And the whole salad bowl. Really.
Is This Honey-Mustard Dressing Healthy?
This honey-mustard dressing uses wholesome ingredients like Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, and extra-virgin olive oil to provide a balanced dressing with no added preservatives. All you get from this dressing are healthy fats, zero refined sugars, and plenty of flavor. Plus, it’s vegetarian and gluten-free! No substitutions are needed.

Is Honey-Mustard Dressing The Same As Honey-Mustard Dipping Sauce?
Honey-mustard dressing is not exactly the same as Honey-Mustard Dipping Sauce, which makes a great condiment on sandwiches, meats, and burgers. Honey-mustard is usually thicker, while the dressing is lighter and more drizzle-friendly.
That said, I’ve used this dressing in wraps, on burgers, and even as a marinade. It’s also a great dipping sauce. But if you’d like a thicker texture (which I recommend for deli sandwiches), no problem! All you have to do is reduce the vinegar by about a tablespoon and whisk in a quarter cup of Greek Yogurt—mayo also works. This slight tweak makes all the difference!

How Do I Store Leftovers?
Your homemade honey-mustard dressing will keep well in the fridge for up to a week, making it an excellent dressing for meal prep and lunches. Store it in an airtight container, such as a mason jar.
