This easy Honey-Lime Chicken is perfect over salad, grain bowls, and more!

Grilled honey-lime chicken slices served over a colorful vegetable and grain bowl.

You’re hungry. You’re busy. You need something delicious—fast.

Sound familiar? Welcome to the never-ending struggle of wanting a meal that’s fresh, flavorful, and actually satisfying… without spending hours in the kitchen.

Let’s set the scene: You walk through the door after a long day, and all you want is something quick and tasty. But the idea of cooking? Nope. That sad frozen dinner is calling your name, but deep down, you know it’s all lies and disappointment.

Enter: Honey-lime chicken.

A little sweet, a little spicy, and absolutely packed with flavor, this recipe is everything you need and nothing you don’t. A simple marinade of lime juice, honey, and hot sauce works its magic while you go about your life. When you’re ready to eat, just toss the chicken on the grill, cook it up in minutes, and boom—dinner is served.

Trust me, your future (non-hangry) self will thank you.

Is This Honey-Lime Chicken Healthy?

Yes! This honey-lime chicken is packed with lean protein. Plus, with just a handful of simple ingredients, no heavy, sugary sauces and no mystery additives, this dish makes healthy eating effortless. Pair it with a side of veggies or a fresh salad, and you’ve got a well-balanced meal that tastes as great as it makes you feel!

The Secret to Juicy, Flavorful Chicken

The key to making this honey-lime chicken extra juicy and flavorful? It’s all in the marinade! Letting the chicken soak in a simple blend of fresh lime juice, honey, and a kick of hot sauce infuses every bite with tangy-sweet goodness. The acid in the lime juice helps tenderize the meat, while the honey caramelizes beautifully on the grill. For the best results, I marinate for at least two hours—but if you can swing an overnight soak, your taste buds will thank you!

How Do I Store Leftovers?

Store leftover honey lime chicken in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Unfortunately, this dish isn’t ideal for freezing, as the texture of the chicken may become too dry when thawed.

Serving Suggestions

This dish pairs perfectly with grilled veggies like this Grilled Romaine Salad, Grilled Zucchini, or this colorful Balsamic Grilled Vegetable Salad. Cilantro-Lime Cauliflower Rice and Coconut Rice are also great sides to serve with this chicken. Want to mix things up? Slice it up and add it to tacos, grain bowls, or wraps for a quick and easy meal.
