Incredibly quick and easy Instant-Pot Steamed Broccoli is perfect every time. Add this simple, yet flavorful healthy side to any meal!

Sometimes, when you’re cooking up a fancy meal for family or friends, you don’t want everything to be fussy and difficult to make. Let’s say you’ve roasted a beautiful chicken stuffed with lemon, garlic, and fragrant herbs, and made an elegant potato gratin with finely chopped herbs to serve on the side. So what about the vegetables? Do they have to be equally elaborate? Absolutely not! If you’re looking for an easy yet delicious vegetable dish to finish off such a sumptuous meal, this Instant-Pot steamed broccoli is here to save the day!
Just when you thought steaming broccoli was easy, I’m about to make it even easier by using the Instant Pot. It’s so simple, you may never go back to cooking broccoli any other way!
Is Instant-Pot Steamed Broccoli Healthy?
No doubt about it! Broccoli, a cruciferous vegetable, is packed with fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Steaming preserves the color, taste, and texture of vegetables much better than boiling does. Plus, it’s more effective at retaining nutrients, so you really get the most out of your veggies!
Bland and Boring? Think again!
Sure, you could serve this steamed broccoli as a simple side dish (in that case, I would definitely drizzle it with good olive oil, a scattering of sea salt flakes, and freshly cracked pepper), but there are so many other delicious ways to use it! Making a frittata for Sunday morning breakfast? Add in some steamed broccoli? Ever tried broccoli hummus? Just blend it along with your chickpeas, tahini, garlic, olive oil, and a squeeze of lemon juice! And while we’re talking dips and spreads, you can add some to your favorite pesto recipe, too.

How To Make Ahead And Store
If stored in an airtight container, leftover steamed broccoli will stay good in the fridge for up to 5 days. Freezing is not advised as once thawed, the broccoli will be very soggy.

Serving Suggestions
This steamed broccoli is sure to complement a variety of main dishes perfectly. I recommend serving it alongside a deliciously juicy and tender Keto Steak With Garlic-Butter Mushrooms and some Mashed Red Potatoes.
If you want to go the no-meat route, cook up some Grilled Cauliflower Steaks With Romesco Sauce and finish it off with a Balsamic Grilled Vegetable Salad! The possibilities are endless!
