This healthy Homemade Strawberry Vinaigrette is the only summer salad dressing you will ever need. Naturally gluten-free, paleo, and vegan!

Strawberry Vinaigrette in a serving bottle with a salad

“This is a keeper recipe!” – My Dad

YOU GUYS. My “healthy food hating” dad was all over this dressing, and it made my heart so happy. It’s vibrant, tangy, zesty, and has all the sweetness and freshness that makes it irresistible. This dressing has officially replaced my old go-to, the Miso Lemon Tahini Dressing, and now it’s always in my fridge.

I actually made it years ago with a spiralized cucumber salad and forgot about it until recently when I made it again with my Strawberry Chicken Salad. I’m so glad I remembered it because sometimes you just need a break from the same dressing you use every time (I’m looking at you, ranch). You and your crew are going to adore this strawberry vinaigrette; It strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and tang. Plus, making it at home saves you money compared to store-bought options! So grab your apron and some fresh strawberries, and let’s get to cooking. I promise, once you try this strawberry vinaigrette, you’re going to want to drizzle it on all of your salads.

is strawberry vinaigrette healthy?

This vibrant dressing not only adds a burst of flavor to your salads, but it also brings along a wealth of nutritional benefits. Made with fresh strawberries, it’s packed with vitamins and antioxidants that can support your overall health. Plus, since it’s homemade, you have more control over the ingredients. Strawberry vinaigrette is a delicious way to brighten up your meals without compromising on health!

what other oils can i use besides olive oil?

There are plenty of oil substitutes to choose from! For a nutty flavor, try using walnut oil, which pairs beautifully with strawberries. Avocado oil is another popular choice, offering a smooth and mild taste that won’t overpower other ingredients. If you’re looking for something with a bit of zest, grapeseed oil can add a light and refreshing note. If all you have on hand is vegetable or canola oil, these oils will work perfectly well in this recipe, as they both have a neutral flavor. No matter what oil you choose, your strawberry vinaigrette is sure to impress.

How to make ahead and store

To store your strawberry vinaigrette, transfer to an airtight container and place it in the fridge. It should stay fresh for 1 week, perfect for multiple delicious salads! Just remember to give the vinaigrette a good shake before serving to recombine the ingredients before drizzling it over your favorite greens.

Serving Suggestions

Now that your super-simple, super-delicious strawberry vinaigrette is blended and ready to go, it’s time to find the perfect salad to drizzle it on! A Chicken Salad with Candied Pecans would be a fantastic choice, as would a Strawberry Salad Topped with Grilled Nectarines. Any salad featuring fruit and nuts will pair beautifully with this dressing. Feel free to mix it up and get creative—the possibilities are endless, and your salad is sure to steal the show!

I made this with strawberries I soaked in white vineger too long (to clean and make last longer) and served with carrots and cucumber but ended up dipping my seasoned chicken (pepper, salt, and garlic) and I loved it!!!! I am considering using it as a marinade if I don’t eat it all in the form of chicken salad with this dressing!!!! So glad I found and tired this recipie!!

Hi Pamela – You can store it in the fridge for for about 1 week. I usually use a sealed container like a mason jar. Enjoy!

Would lemon work instead of lime?

FABULOUS recipe. Made a chicken salad sing. This recipe is perfect. The lime juice and rind are the keys.
I made mine in the blender. The olive oil emulsified. Stored it in a Mason jar. Not too sweet, the perfect summer salad dressing.
