This healthy Homemade Strawberry Vinaigrette is the only summer salad dressing you will ever need! Naturally gluten free, paleo, and vegan!

“This is a keeper recipe” – Dad
YOU GUYS. My “healthy food hating” dad was ALL over this dressing and it made my heart so happy.
It’s seriously vibrant and tangy and zippy but also sweet and fruity and FRESH! Basically, it replaced my old “go to” salad dressing, the Miso Lemon tahini dressing recipe, and now this one is ALWAYS in my fridge.
I actually made it years ago with the spiralized cucumber salad recipe and forgot about it…until recently when I made it again with my strawberry chicken salad.
And, for your sake, I am glad I remembered it because sometimes you just need to break out of the box from boring whole30 balsamic vinaigrette.

Why you will LOVE This Recipe
There is SO much to LOVE about a good salad dressing recipe. Making your own dressings and vinaigrettes at home can save time and money that you’d be spending at the grocery store, and it just tastes better if you ask me! You and your crew are going to love this strawberry salad dressing recipe because it’s got the sweetness with the perfect amount of tang to balance it out. It’s also made with FRESH strawberries, is sweetened with honey, AND has apple cider vinegar to boost that immune system. Pour it on ALL the salads and you won’t be disappointed!
Strawberry Vinaigrette Salad Dressing Ingredients
Like so many of my favorite recipes on the blog, this strawberry salad dressing uses simple and wholesome ingredients that you can pronounce- no funny business over here! Here’s the list of ingredients you’ll need to pull out of the fridge and pantry to get started:
- Roughly chopped strawberries (if you prefer raspberries, check out my raspberry vinaigrette!)
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Honey
- Fresh Lime Juice
- Lime Zest
- Salt
- Olive Oil

How do you make Strawberry Salad Dressing from scratch?
Sometimes it’s easy to just grab a few salad dressings from the grocery store shelf. Store bought dressings can be so tasty, and some have wholesome and healthy ingredients that you can feel good about. BUT did you know that it’s super quick, easy, and inexpensive to make your own dressings at home? There are only 2 easy steps to make this dressing and you’ll be surprised how little time it takes. This recipe is going to make you want to make ALL your dressings at home! Here’s how to make it:
Blend
Place all the ingredients except the oil into a small food processer and process until the strawberries are completely broken down. You will need to stop blending to scrape the sides down often.
Stream
Once the mixture is well blended, turn on the food processer and stream in the olive oil while it is running. Continue to blend the dressing until the oil is well incorporated and it is thickened.
Enjoy
Pour onto your favorite salad and DEVOUR!

What goes well with Homemade Strawberry Vinaigrette Salad Dressing?
Now that your super-simple super-yum salad dressing is blended and ready to go, you’re going to need a salad to drizzle it on! Chicken Salad Recipe with Candied Pecans would be a great salad to pour some of this dressing on, as would Strawberry Salad with Grilled Nectarines. Any salad with fruit and nuts would be perfect to try with this dressing! Mix it up and get creative and your salad will be the star of the show!

Strawberry Vinaigrette FAQ
You can use fresh or frozen strawberries. It just depends on what is available to you. Remember to let the frozen strawberries thaw first before using them. Get them out of the freezer and let them naturally reach room temperature. Depending on how long they’ve been frozen this could take a few minutes to a couple of hours.
This vinaigrette can be chucked in the fridge and will last up to a week when stored properly. Transfer the strawberry vinaigrette in an airtight jar, or resealable bottle. You have to shake the vinaigrette before serving it with your favorite salad. That’s why you need a container with a cover.
Generally speaking, vinaigrettes are a healthy way to dress your salad or dip your bread into. This recipe contains strawberries which are naturally high in antioxidants, vitamins, and fiber that boost the immune system, improve digestion, and prevent the risk of certain diseases. Other ingredients like honey, olive oil, and limes also provide a lot of health benefits.

I made this with strawberries I soaked in white vineger too long (to clean and make last longer) and served with carrots and cucumber but ended up dipping my seasoned chicken (pepper, salt, and garlic) and I loved it!!!! I am considering using it as a marinade if I don’t eat it all in the form of chicken salad with this dressing!!!! So glad I found and tired this recipie!!
