This simple, 3-ingredient Chocolate-Covered Blueberries recipe is the perfect treat!

Chocolate Covered Blueberries

Farmers’ market fresh, juicy blueberries paired with rich dark chocolate. Does it get much better than that? If you have a sweet tooth like me, then the answer is no. Of course, I haven’t met a dessert I didn’t like—well, except for custard. But that’s beside the point. If you’re craving something sweet, these chocolate-covered blueberries are a real treat.

I used to think that any chocolate-covered fruit required the skills of a chocolatier. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth! They’re actually quite easy to make—perhaps too easy. You’ll want to make them year-round!

Oh, and of course, it’s delicious! Why is it that fruit and chocolate work so well together? All I know is that it does. The sweet tartness of the blueberries, coupled with the rich chocolate, is a match made in heaven! Two ingredients that were simply made for each other.

Are Chocolate-Covered Blueberries Healthy?

It’s a win-win when you can eat your fruit and have your chocolate, too! Blueberries and dark chocolate are filled with antioxidants and trace minerals. More specifically, blueberries contain high amounts of anthocyanin, flavonoids, and vitamin C. The nutritional value will vary depending on the chocolate you use, but dark chocolate, in particular, includes flavanols, iron, magnesium, copper, and manganese. This dessert is basically an indulgence with much less judgment. Moreover, this recipe is vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free, so it’s suitable for most diets due to its mighty clean ingredients.

Which Chocolate Pairs Best With Blueberries?

Of course, you can use any chocolate of your liking. However, I recommend purchasing organic chocolate chips to maintain nutritional value. Dark chocolate tends to be lower in sugar and dairy-free. However, this isn’t always the case, so read the ingredients list! Now, if you prefer a smoother taste and don’t mind the dairy, go with creamy milk chocolate. For those looking for the best of both worlds, semi-sweet chocolate is a happy medium.

Want to enhance your chocolate a little more? Go for it. Add a drop of almond or vanilla extract to your melted chocolate mixture!

How Do I Store Leftovers?

Store your leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Serving Suggestions

These chocolate-coated blueberries are absolutely delicious on their own but also make an excellent topping for desserts like this Healthy Cottage Cheese Cheesecake or Chocolate Mousse. You can also keep it simple and serve your chocolate-covered blueberries with a dollop of homemade Strawberry Whipped Cream or Keto Cheesecake Fluff.

I especially enjoy these with a shot of espresso in the afternoon or as an after-dinner delight. Other great pairings for these chocolaty berries are No-Bake Keto Chocolate Peanut Butter Bombs and these gloriously decadent Chocolate Crêpes.
