Learn how to make a delicious deconstructed cheeseburger wrapped in a flour tortilla.

If you want to mix up burger night, go for a wrap! In a way, this is a deconstructed cheeseburger. All the ingredients of a burger are there; they are just arranged a little differently and stuffed into a tortilla. It’s all the goodness of a cheeseburger, minus the bun.

When I bit into my first cheeseburger wrap, I wished I had thought of this alternative sooner. By filling the wrap with beef and all the typical burger toppings and then grilling it, you achieve a nice crunch on the outside. Meanwhile, inside the wrap, there is gooey cheese, warm meat, and a variety of flavors from the other ingredients. Instead of all the ingredients being layered on top of one another in between two patties, a cheeseburger wrap allows everything to mix together. This gives every bite a blend of flavors that you may not experience with a traditional cheeseburger.

When it comes to the wrap you use, you can opt for store-bought, or if you are trying to follow a specific diet, you can make Gluten-Free Tortillas or Keto Tortillas. You can also make Gluten-Free Tortillas With Sundried Tomatoes or perhaps Cauliflower Tortillas.

Is This Cheeseburger Wrap Healthy?

The healthiness of a cheeseburger wrap is comparable to that of a traditional cheeseburger. After all, the basic ingredients are essentially the same. The lean ground beef provides a good source of protein, although it can also contain a significant amount of fat and calories, depending on the type of beef used. The cheese can pack on additional fat and calories, too. On the bright side, you can also enhance the nutritional value of cheeseburger wraps by adding tomatoes, lettuce, and other vegetables, using leaner ground beef, or omitting the cheese altogether.

Ingredients for Cheeseburger Wrap: ground beef, flour tortillas, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard.

Burger Bar for Your Cheeseburger Wrap

Whenever I make cheeseburgers, I love setting up a burger bar so people can customize their toppings. It’s easy to do the same with a cheeseburger wrap. Of course, it’s a little different when cooking the meat because the ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce are all included. But the rest of the toppings are fully customizable. In addition to lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, you can also include options such as crumbled bacon, diced jalapeños, sliced avocado, and blue cheese. Of course, any other topping you like on your burgers could also be added to your wrap. Feel free to be as creative as you want with your toppings as long as they fit inside the wrap.

How do I store leftovers?

It’s best to eat cheeseburger wraps fresh. However, leftover cooked beef can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Meanwhile, the leftover toppings and tortillas should be stored separately.

Serving Suggestions

Whatever sides you would normally have with a cheeseburger also make sense for cheeseburger wraps. This means that Homemade French Fries are an obvious option. But you can also explore your options with Air-Fryer Sweet Potato Fries or perhaps Air-Fryer Onion Rings. Of course, it wouldn’t hurt to have a vegetable side dish, even if it’s just a simple Tossed Salad, a Cucumber-Avocado Salad, or Roasted Zucchini.
