This easy Tropical White Moscato Sangria is a SUPER tasty cocktail, made with better-for-you ingredients. Perfect for summer parties!

If you’ve ever met me in real life, you’ll probably find out one key thing about me in the first 5 minutes: I really like mojitos. Especially a cool Coconut Blueberry Mojito. But I absolutely LOVE a good fruity sangria. Whenever I visit a new location, I must find the restaurant with the best sangria. I don’t care if it’s negative 42 billion outside and the ground is covered in snow, I even want winter sangria. Christmas time? Bring on the Sparkling Holiday Champagne Sangria! If you’re looking for the perfect summer drink, though, this tropical white moscato sangria is going to be the ultimate warm-weather sipper.
Where Did This Drink Come From?
Sangria actually originated in Spain, and over time it’s evolved into a huge variety of tasty versions. The word sangria comes from the Spanish word for “blood” because of the deep red color of the original sangria, which was made with red wine. But this tropical version is all about the juicy boozy sweetness of moscato, which is my current favorite wine. This recipe includes bright and fruity flavors like mango, pineapple, and coconut water – it’s basically like a sweet, sunny day in a glass. Notice I keep mentioning sweet – and this one is! If you prefer it drier, you could use a dry white wine.

Is Tropical White Moscato Sangria Healthy?
OK, let’s not get too carried away here – this is a cocktail after all! But there are some wholesome ingredients (fruits) in this tropical white moscato sangria that might make you feel a bit better about sipping it. Fresh pineapple and mango are packed with vitamin C and antioxidants, adding a little nutritional boost to your drink. Plus, I’ve got coconut water in here, which is super hydrating for a hot summer afternoon. To be quite honest, it has a lot of natural sugar in the fruit and the moscato is a very sweet alcohol. But if you’re just looking for a refreshing drink and not following a super strict diet, this sangria can be a fun way to kick back and enjoy summer.

How long should Sangria sit in the fridge?
For this sangria, I recommend allowing it to chill in the fridge overnight as that will REALLY bring out the flavor of the pineapple and mango and make it so fresh and tropical. If you don’t have that kind of time and need to whip up a pitcher last minute, not to worry! As long as you let it chill for at least 2 hours, it will still be a refreshing and delicious cocktail.
