A fruity twist on the classic cosmo, the trendy Tay-Tini will never go out of style.

Taylor Swift's Cosmopolitan (Tay-Tini Cocktail)

You Belong With Me. Lover. I Knew You Were Trouble. Song titles? Or thoughts of the Tay-Tini cocktail? Both can be true.

So, unless you’ve been under a rock, you’re likely aware that Taylor Swift took a break from her worldwide Eras Tour last year and was seen living her best life. At the Chiefs’ game, she cheered for her new beau; she shimmered at girls’ nights downtown in Manhattan; and she enjoyed late nights in Vegas. The 14-time Grammy-winning superstar had been feeling twenty-two with a very specific drink in hand.

Like everything Taylor Swift touches, we want to be a part of it and know all about it. The stunning songwriter keeps her “side of the street clean” and somehow stays out of messy gossip while still enjoying the bar scene. While no crazy stories have been leaked, the bartenders in NYC and Vegas, who mix Miss Americana’s cocktail, have shared the recipe. Now, it’s my turn. Are You Ready For It?

The Tay-Tini is a trendy version of the classic Cosmopolitan, which, TBH, needed a revamp. We use vodka, triple sec, and cranberry juice, but replace the lime with lemon juice and add a hint of peach schnapps. What’s so simple about the Taylor Swift Cosmopolitan? If you have a home bar, you likely have these ingredients already. There is nothing exotic in this refreshing cocktail, and all your friends will be Enchanted when they sip it.

Is Taylor Swift’s Cosmopolitan Healthy?

If only cocktails would be considered healthy drinks! It’s a fun drink, but no, it most certainly isn’t healthy. As we well know, alcohol should be used responsibly.

What is the Best Alcohol to Use to Make a Tay-Tini Cocktail?

I would go with a top-shelf vodka for the Tay-Tini, like Grey Goose or Ketel One. Normally, for a mixed drink, you don’t bother wasting pricier liquor that will be masked with fruity flavors, but for a martini, you would opt for a more expensive option. So the Taylor Swift Cosmo falls in between the two. We want something Delicate and Clean. Vodka is said to be tasteless, colorless, and odorless, but if you’ve ever had cheap vodka, you know it can be pretty bad. So go for the higher-end choice—it just Hits Different.

You can also make this cocktail with gin or a different liquor instead! The Tay-Tini has clean, fruity flavors, like the orange from triple sec, peach from the schnapps, cranberry, and lemon, which mix well with most other liquors. Try it with tequila or Malibu rum and Call It What You Want.

How to make ahead and store

You can totally make a pitcher or large batch of the Taylor Swift Cosmo in advance. Double or triple the recipe as is, and when you are ready to serve, pour individual servings into a shaker with ice and add a fresh squeeze of lemon.

Serving Suggestions

Mixology may not be as ancient or magical as Alchemy, but mixing drinks and making creations is fun! Want to host a Taylor Swift-inspired cocktail evening? The Tay-Tini is a twist on the classic Cosmopolitan, which is not too far from the Gimlet Cocktail (made with gin and lime juice). Also, the ratio of Taylor’s drink is strong, like a martini, and great for making shots. For your Eras party, serve Tay-Tini shots with the equally fruity and fun Gummy Bear Shots.

Of course, the singer enjoys the occasional Champagne Cocktail, not just the Tay-Tini. Taylor has famously always enjoyed vodka and Diet Coke, white wine, and was also seen sipping Margaritas in the VIP suite at Arrowhead Stadium. In Getaway Car, she claims, “I knew it from the first Old-Fashioned we were cursed.” Whatever drink the superstar is enjoying, she is living out her Wildest Dreams.
