No mess, no frying and no hassle—perfect bacon for a lazy Sunday morning!

Bacon is one of the most loved, universal meat products and a breakfast staple for many. But who needs the hassle and mess of frying up a batch for the family on a weekend morning? Sometimes, I just don’t want to deal with the grease splattering all over the stove—and me!
If you’re looking for a cleaner cooking method for bacon, baking is an excellent option. In fact, this recipe uses leaner back bacon, also known as rashers. It’s meatier and much lower in fat than regular bacon. However, if you prefer regular bacon, this cooking method still works.
Another reason I love this cooking method is because it frees up my stove for other breakfast essentials, like scrambled eggs and pancakes. Multitasking is a must when you have a family! That’s why I think once you start baking your bacon, you may never use your skillet again! But don’t take my word for it. Give this recipe a try, and let me know what you think!
Is Bacon In The Oven With Aluminum Foil Healthy?
Regular bacon comes from the belly, and back bacon comes from the loin. Both are high in protein, and back bacon is relatively low in fat. However, belly bacon is high in saturated fats. So, if you’d prefer something leaner, go with back bacon. Either way, I recommend that you exercise common sense and moderation in your bacon consumption. Both cuts are salty, so you don’t want to overindulge!

Foil: The Not-So-Secret “Ingredient”
Aluminum foil isn’t exactly an ingredient, but it might as well be. It’s a key component to this simple recipe. For one thing, foil keeps your baking sheet relatively clean by catching most of the grease. Plus, all that rendered fat is put to good use, getting your bacon nice and crispy. You get all the flavor with none of the mess.

How Do I Store Leftovers?
This bacon will keep well in the fridge for about 1 week. It will also freeze well if you want to make a bigger batch. Either way, store the bacon in an airtight container or wrap it tightly in aluminum foil—plastic wrap works, too.

Serving Suggestions
Whether it’s going in a BLT Sandwich, your favorite burger, or as a side for your eggs, this easy bacon is a star. As a special treat, back bacon is perfect for the full English breakfast experience. All you need to do is fry up some sausage, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Serve it with Baked Beans and Sunny Side-Up Eggs. Not a meal you’d want to eat regularly, but it’s delicious nonetheless!
