Savor this sweet and simple dessert dip with a wide array of your favorite fruits.

Creamy fruit dip in a white bowl, surrounded by fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and pineapple.

Whether it’s morning or evening, I always appreciate a good fruit platter. But sometimes, I want a little more somethin’ somethin’—and that’s when fruit dip comes into play. With just four ingredients, this dazzling little dip is super easy to whip up. All you have to do is combine the ingredients in a bowl, and in five minutes, you’ll have a smooth and fluffy masterpiece that’s sure to please a crowd.

The best part about fruit dip is that so many different fruits can go with it, whether they’re local or tropical. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, pineapple, banana, or even apples are some great options. But you can spruce up your selection even more by adding unique fruits like kiwi, dragonfruit, or starfruit. With a special spread like this, your fruit platter will stand out among the rest.

But don’t be surprised if you and your loved ones start craving fruit dip for a sweet snack outside of “dessert time.” It’s such an easy and enticing dish to make, you might even find it to be a delectable part of brunch or breakfast!

Ingredients for Fruit Dip Recipe: powdered sugar, plain Greek yogurt, cream cheese, and vanilla extract.

What’s the difference between fruit dip and Cool Whip?

While this fruit dip is perfect for serving with nature’s candies, Cool Whip is a store-bought whipped topping that many people use in the same way. The main difference is that Cool Whip contains preservatives and artificial flavorings to make it shelf-stable. Homemade fruit dip, on the other hand, has no added preservatives or fake flavors, which means the quality is better, though it won’t last as long as Cool Whip would.

How do I store leftovers?

To keep everything fresher for longer, store any leftover fruit and fruit dip in separate containers. Refrigerate them for up to 3 or 4 days. I don’t recommend freezing fruit dip, as the thawing process could ruin its creamy texture. When you’re ready to serve it again, be sure to whip it quickly to fluff it up and then dish it out cold.

Serving suggestions

Serve your fruit dip in a little ramekin or serving dish and surround it with a cornucopia of your favorite fruits. I like to do a berry platter with Chocolate-Covered Raspberries, Chocolate-Covered Blueberries, and White Chocolate-Covered Strawberries. But as part of a dessert spread, you can also serve it with Healthy Greek Yogurt Brownies, Basbousa, or Tea Cookies. For brunch or breakfast, serve fruit dip alongside High-Protein Banana Bread or Delicious Cottage Cheese Pancakes. As you can see, there’s a whole rainbow of options that can make fruit dip shine bright!
