These overnight oats are layered with a peanut butter and Greek yogurt chocolate chip cookie dough for an easy, healthy breakfast meal prep idea that is perfect for busy mornings!

Soooo, I’m just gonna put it out there RIGHT AWAY.
These taste, like REALLY YUMMY and pretty much exactly like eating a bowl full of cookie dough for BREAKFAST.
UMM RIGHT? HELLO oatmeal that I want to get my face in on, down upon and whatever other possible ways that you can eat food, like, RIGHT NOW. Aaaannd pretty much every morning for the rest of the mornings that be. <— Not even a bold statement.

My friends, these cookie dough overnight oats. THEY ARE ALL THE THINGS. As in I’m ga-ga-googly-eyes head over heels IN LOVE with digging my spoon WAY down deep into layers of soft, soaked oats, creamy dreamy Greek yogurt (18g of Protein WHAT!) and then finally ending in a layer of gooey peanut butter cookie dough that EXPLODES in crunchy-sweet bursts of chocolate chip tastiness all over your MOUTH.
AKA: Breakfast HEAVEN.
Can I just be real honest with you, because that’s what friends are for, right? AS you may have noticed, this is the FIRST EVER overnight oats recipe on FFF. You know why? UMMMM, it’s actually the first time I have ever spooned it into my oatmeal-loving-face.
I know. Says the women who, without 1 word of a LIE, eats oatmeal for a pre-workout meal, post workout meal, breakfast, lunch…and sometimes (read: A LOT) dinner. One might call it obsessed.

I just call it having taste buds that are, well, ON POINT.
But but but, I have always been one to make it, and eat it RIGHT AWAY. I don’t have the kind of willpower to wait to to munch my way through each tasty fleck of whole grain goodness, and get my breakfast (lunch, dinner, WHATEVER) jam on….until Quaker® challenged me to create some overnights oats recipes for you quick-and-easy-breakfast-loving peeps.
[Tweet “Start your day with a bowl full of make-ahead Cookie Dough Overnight Oats! @Quaker “]And who doesn’t want to wake up to swirls of ooey-gooey peanut butter cookie dough that, HEY WHOA NOW, you made LAST NIGHT?
Spending 10 minutes the night before + Waking up to cookie dough YUM that you can eat, like, RIGHT NOW because your smart-self did the work already = best morning EVER.

If you’re concerned about the whole “cookie dough requiring eggs” thang, let’s just talk about that for a sec’. Have no fear, there’s no eggs here! <— Poetry. But, really, you only need 4 ingredients to whip up a batch of SUPER-safe-and-EXTRA-tasty dough: Peanut butter (yes please), Coconut sugar (sweet goodness!), Greek yogurt (3 cheers for 18g of protein!) and some chocolate chips. Because you can’t call a cookie a “cookie” without some chocolate chip action. Real talk yo’.
Blend it up, press it in your cup and layer it with perfectly chewy, soft, milk-soaked Quaker® oats. Umm, that’s it. You probably could have made it in the time it even took you to READ about doing so.
So, I suggest you go do that.

You can thank me later.

I’ll be honest and start with ….I have never made overnight oats and the thought of cold oatmeal scared me. But this recipe was the best sounding Overnight Oats I’d ever seen.
First let me say, my jars were bigger than yours so I doubled the recipe. The only thing I was worried about was the oats because it filled all the way up to the top of my jars. I also used steel cut oats because that was what I had.
Now my husband tried it first this morning and told me it got better the more he ate it. So when I went to eat mine, I decided to pour it all out in to a bowl and mix it up. That was the best idea. It was so good all mixed up! I may be sold on Overnight oats. Next time though if I double the recipe, I’ll split it between more jars… because I couldn’t finish mine!
Taylor Kiser says
I am SO glad you liked this! I was wary of overnight oats when I first heard of them too! I am surprised steel cut oats work – good to know!
Tiffany T. says
I was worried about it. They are a little more chewy than I would assume regular oats would be… but they’re not bad. Next time I’ll try Old Fashioned Oats and do a comparison.
Taylor Kiser says
Yes they definitely are more chewy…but not in a bad way! Let me know what you think about old fashioned!

steps 1 and 7 are missing. Please share asap. sounds amaing
Taylor Kiser says
Nope they’re not – just extra fields accidentally added! All updated. Thanks!! 🙂

I just made a serving of this and popped it in the fridge. I’m totally looking forward to breakfast in the morning!
(I’ve tried many times to like overnight oats but they always seem to fall short. Based on previous commenters, I think these will change my mind! ☺)
Taylor Kiser says
I know you didn’t love the oats but I am glad you loved the cookie dough!
Beth Munsch says
How long do they need to soak before eating? Like if i make them now (4pm) can i eat it after the kids go to bed? haha
Taylor Kiser says
Haha! It’s best to let them soak at least 6 hours!
Heather D says
Have you ever tried heating this up and mixing it together? Are overnight oats intended to be eaten cold? It looks delicious but I’ve never eaten oatmeal cold from the fridge so I’m a bit hesitant.
Taylor Kiser says
Overnight oats are intended to be cold, so I haven’t tried it warm!
Stacey says
Do you know how far in advance can I assemble all of the layers, including the oats/milk? Do they need to be made just night before, or would several days (2-3) in the fridge be okay?
Taylor Kiser says
2-3 is totally fine! Just keep them covered 🙂
Anamika @ Supplement Crunch says
This is so simple and totally beautiful! I love it….
Taylor Kiser says
Thank you!
Alfy says
This may sound stupid (that’ll be ’cause I am) but will it have any impact if I use, say whole milk instead?
Taylor Kiser says
Nope! 🙂
