You don’t have to go to a famous coffee chain or spend a lot of money to treat yourself to a delicious Caramel Frappuccino.

Who doesn’t love a fancy, flavorful coffee? I’m not even a big coffee drinker, but I still like to treat myself to one of the iced blended drinks that coffee shops are famous for. However, these types of drinks can be expensive. Luckily, you won’t need to stand in line in the future once you discover how quick and easy it is to make a caramel Frappuccino at home using only a blender and a handful of ingredients.

Admittedly, few of us have the high-tech coffee makers or collection of syrups that coffee chains have to make their Frappuccinos. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make one from home with a few easy ingredients. Once you taste a homemade caramel Frappuccino for the first time, you probably won’t even be able to tell the difference between the one you make yourself and the one you get at a coffee shop. The homemade version is just as rich and refreshing, not to mention at a fraction of the cost.

Since this recipe includes caramel sauce, you may want to skip the store-bought version and try a homemade version, like this Salted Caramel Sauce. No dairy? Opt for Dairy-Free Vegan Caramel Sauce instead.

Is A Caramel Frappuccino Healthy?

Sorry, no, this caramel Frappuccino is not healthy. That’s one of the reasons I only have drinks like this sparingly. Between the caramel sauce, two tablespoons of granulated (refined) sugar, and optional whipped cream, there is a lot of sugar in the drink. However, if you’re concerned about the amount of sugar, you can skip the whipped cream and use a sugar-free caramel topping. You can also use an alternative sweetener other than sugar, like stevia, to cut back on the calories. Also, pay close attention to the type of milk you use because some contain more sugar than others. To make this drink suitable for vegans or those who are lactose intolerant, simply replace the dairy with plant-based options.

Make Your Frappuccino Extra Creamy

If you want to treat yourself to an extra creamy Frappuccino, there are a few things you can do. The first is to use half-and-half or whole milk in lieu of low-fat or skim milk. Be aware that this will increase the fat and calories in the drink, although it will surely make it creamier. You can also consider adding a scoop of ice cream when blending the drink. I suggest using vanilla, although chocolate or other flavors can steer the taste of the Frappuccino in another direction, if desired.

Ingredients for Caramel Frappuccino: ice cubes, strong brewed coffee, milk, caramel sauce, granulated sugar, and whipped cream.

How Do I Store Leftovers?

If you’ve ever had a Frappuccino from a coffee chain, you know that while you can put a half-finished cup in the fridge, it just doesn’t taste great the next day. I recommend consuming this the same day you make it.

Serving Suggestions

Ready to start your day off right? You may want to replace your on-the-go coffee with a homemade Frappuccino. Whether you only have time for a quick breakfast like Overnight Oats or you have a proper sit-down breakfast that includes Cheesy Scrambled Eggs and Hash Brown Waffles, the caffeine boost can help perk up your morning.

If you’re treating yourself to a caramel Frappuccino, you probably have a sweet tooth. I recommend pairing the coffee drink with a White Chocolate Biscotti With Crushed Candy Canes. You could also choose to make a batch of Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies or perhaps Funfetti Protein Cookies and enjoy a cookie with your coffee.
