I first fell in love with this cocktail when I had it at this AMAZING bar called “Canon” here in Seattle.
They served it in a little glass bee-shaped cup and it was the best ever. So, naturally I came home and tried to make it.
I was even happier when I realized it’s only 3 simple ingredients and one of them is the honey simple syrup that we just made!

I’m all about a backyard party with LOTS of delicious food, desserts, and of course drinks! Mr. FFF and I love mixing up and enjoying refreshing drinks together, especially in the warmer months. Today I’m going to show you a cocktail that’s so easy and so delish, you’ll have your party guests raving about it nonstop and it won’t take you long to whip up a round for your family and friends! Bees Knees Cocktail Ingredients
As I mentioned before, this cocktail is easy as can be! Don’t you just love when a delicious and refreshing drink isn’t too complicated!? You may already have the ingredients on hand and won’t need to run out to the store, which is the BEST feeling ever, am I right or am I right? For this bees knees drink, you will need:
- Fresh Lemon Juice
- Honey Simple Syrup
How to make a Bees Knees Cocktail
Now that we’ve rounded up our ingredients (didn’t take long at all!), we’re ready to get mixing!
Start by adding all the ingredients into a shaker and shake it well.
Chill your cocktail glasses ahead of time. Strain the mixture into the chilled glasses.
Garnish with a lemon twist and enjoy!
Can I sub Gin for another Liquor?
Easy peasy, right!? And downright delicious and refreshing? Absolutely! Although I haven’t mixed up this drink with anything other than gin, I think that vodka would also work well and taste bomb!

There are super easy and straight forward recipes for simple syrups all over the web, and they typically only call for 2-3 ingredients. What dinner pairing would go best with this cocktail?
Drinks and dinner: the perfect pairing. A drink can really bring out the flavors in your food and vice versa. I recommend grilling up some tasty food to go alongside this drink, so here are a few recipes I suggest for your spring or summer get together:
