Cook these tender, juicy Pork Chops in less than 30 minutes, with almost no mess.

Instant Pot Bone in Pork Chops - foodfaithfitness

When I lived with my grandma, she made pork chops at least once a week. For a while, she stuck to old-school methods like pan-frying and baking, but then she discovered the magic of an Instant Pot. This handy appliance is an all-in-one cooker with several different settings so you can get it just right. We were amazed by how effortless it was to use.

Well-seasoned and tender, Instant-Pot bone-in pork chops are an ideal main dish for at-home dinners. Why? For starters, it doesn’t leave behind a big oil splatter the way stove-top cooking does—it keeps everything inside to minimize mess and maximize flavor. So, don’t worry about clean-up, because the Instant Pot makes it simple.

Even though they’re easy and pretty quick to cook, these pork chops taste like a dish that one would get at a restaurant. They’re fragrant, flavorful, and juicy, all thanks to the savory blend of chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and onion. With such a delicious taste, Instant-Pot bone-in pork chops have the potential to become a family favorite.

Are Instant-Pot Bone-In Pork Chops Healthy?

These pork chops have a decent amount of protein and potassium, but they’re also high in fat and sodium. While pork itself is a fatty meat and can’t really be changed, you can lower the sodium content by using low-sodium chicken broth. On the plus side, this recipe is dairy-free and gluten-free, which is great for those who can’t have milk or wheat.

How The Pork Chops Stay Nice And Juicy

The magic of the Instant Pot is that it seals tightly to keep everything hot and moist. It cooks food quickly by trapping steam and increasing the pressure. That way, the boiling point of water increases, and food cooks within a few minutes instead of an hour. Not only that, but it also cooks food thoroughly while monitoring the temperature, so you rarely have to worry about burning. The best way to avoid burning, of course, is to ensure there’s enough liquid at the bottom. In this case, the pork chops are soaked in a mixture of chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings. This little mix also keeps the pork chops moist and mouthwatering.

How Do I Store Leftovers?

Once cooled to room temperature, these pork chops can be stored in an airtight container. Refrigerate them for 3-4 days, or transfer them to a freezer-safe bag and freeze for up to 1 month. Make sure to date the bag so you can keep track of time passing. Then, simply let them thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.

Serving Suggestions

From my grandma’s kitchen to yours, I recommend trying Instant-Pot bone-in pork chops with Steamed Potatoes and Roasted Green Beans, plus a side of Spring Salad. Talk about a well-balanced meal! Other than that, these pork chops also go great with Smashed Potatoes and Steamed Brussels Sprouts or a big bowl of Pasta With Peas. Pair your meal with red wine or non-alcoholic cider, and you’ve got one heck of a family dinner.
