This vibrant and deliciously filling Blueberry-Spinach Smoothie tastes amazing. Packed with superfoods and healthy fats, it’s guaranteed to start your day off right!

When I’m in the mood for a snack, I often pull out the blender to whip up a healthy smoothie. Not only are smoothies one of the best breakfasts out there, but they’re also perfect for chasing away that mid-afternoon slump or satisfying sweet cravings without resorting to unhealthy foods. What I especially love about smoothies is how quickly they can be made, providing a clever way to get in all those nutrients we so much need!
Today’s blueberry-spinach smoothie is a real nutritional powerhouse and really delicious, too! The whole family will love its sweet taste and velvety-smooth texture!
Is This Blueberry-Spinach Smoothie Healthy?
You bet it is! While commercial smoothies are often loaded with sugar, this homemade blueberry-spinach smoothie is made with all-natural ingredients and only uses honey as a sweetener. You could, however, leave it out, and it will be just as delicious.
The spinach in this smoothie provides protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, while blueberries are a well-known superfood bursting with antioxidants. Meanwhile, avocado provides some healthy fats and adds to the creaminess of the smoothie.
Turn Your Smoothie Into a Smoothie Bowl!
When I’m not pressed for time, I love serving my smoothies in a bowl and topping them with a variety of healthy ingredients. If you love chocolate as much as I do, add one tablespoon of cocoa powder to the smoothie when blending and top your smoothie bowl with cacao nibs, sliced banana, chocolate granola, and a dollop of vegan yogurt. Love some crunch, extra protein, and healthy fats? Sprinkle your bowl with pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, and coconut flakes, then swirl in a spoonful of almond butter. For a colorful, fruit bowl, top it with sliced kiwi, raspberries, and diced mango before sprinkling with a little ground cinnamon or ginger. Can’t get enough superfoods? Add two teaspoons of matcha powder to the smoothie when blending and decorate your bowl with goji berries, flaxseed, and toasted walnuts.

How To Make Ahead And Store
If you know you won’t have time to prepare anything in the morning, you can make your smoothie in advance and store it in the fridge overnight. For optimum taste and nutritional benefits, consume within 48 hours.
