As a South Indian vegetarian born and brought up in Indianapolis, IN, my culinary journey has taken me as far East as Chennai, India, and as far West as Los Angeles and New York City. I’ve spent a decade as a food journalist, recipe developer, restaurant critic, and product tester, and my work has found its home in publications such as Food Network Magazine, BuzzFeed, Food52, and The Kitchn. Having been diagnosed with multiple intestinal and digestive diseases, I’m always looking for the ways in which food can heal the mind, body, and soul.
