These Air-Fryer Steak Bites cook in a snap, and both kids and adults will come running back for more!

Buckle up, kids, because today I’m taking you on a flavor joyride. These steak bites were one of my favorite dinners growing up, and I recently asked my mom to share the recipe with me, so now I get to share it with you. Turns out they’re way easier to make than I expected, and they’re just as tasty as I remembered!

When you’re a kid, you think steak is the fanciest food you can eat. At least I did. And I always felt like a total princess when we got to have it for dinner. The funny thing is, these steak bites my mom used to make are actually super easy and affordable. All you need is sirloin steak, a few staples from the spice cabinet, a little olive oil and butter, and an air fryer.

These steak bites are also the perfect way to get little ones to love dinner! The bite-sized shapes are easy and fun for kids to eat, plus small things cook quicker in the air fryer anyway. Even though it only takes a handful of simple ingredients to bring this dinner to life, every bite is full of savory, rich, juicy flavor. If your mouth isn’t watering yet, it will be after you smell these cooking.

Are Air-Fryer Steak Bites Healthy?

These steak bites are an excellent source of protein, and the minimal amount of ingredients is ideal for people with certain dietary restrictions. For example, you can adjust the amount of salt and seasonings to your preference, and people avoiding dairy can substitute plant-based butter for the dairy-based butter in this recipe. In addition to protein, steak has lots of iron, B vitamins, zinc, potassium, and several other important minerals.

Try With Garlic Butter

This recipe calls for melted butter, but I’m going to share a hack my mom always used when making these steak bites to take them to a whole new level of goodness. Before you melt your butter, add in a little minced garlic (about half a teaspoon) to turn it into garlic butter, then melt it in the microwave or over the stove. Toss or dip your bites in the garlic butter for extra flavor, and serve a side of fresh bread with it for extra dipping!

How to make ahead and store

Steak bites will last 3-5 days in the fridge in an airtight container. These delicious bites make for an easy weekly meal prep! Reheat them in the microwave or air fryer.

Serving Suggestions

Steak bites make for a delicious dinner centerpiece, but you can’t forget the sides! Serve your bites along with your favorite veggie, like Roasted Broccoli or Steamed Cauliflower. Finish your plate off with an irresistible starch, like these Hasselback Sweet Potatoes, Orzo Risotto, or Bacon Mac and Cheese, and you have yourself a meal!
