I know that you see that picture of CHOCOLATE CHIP PROTEIN PANCAKE MIX.
Do I even NEED to tell you how excited I am about this?!?
You guys know that I have a L-U-H-V-E, in a major way, of the golden brown stacks of fluffy perfection. And I also loving ANYTHING that is high protein.
And then, they came together. AS ONE.
Like, in marriage. But a better, more edible form.
As usual, don’t tell Mr. FFF I said that. Or he will get jealous and hide the pancake mix from me. <— END OF THE WORLD AS I KNOW IT.
You understand.
So. Pancakes and the general knowledge that I LOVE THEM. In the past, it has been IHOP’S pancakes that I have been obsessed with. UNTIL THAT FATEFUL DAY WHERE THEY CHANGED THE MENU.
I talked about it when we ate burrito bowls. So if you want the gut-wrenching story, go there. We don’t need to re-hash such sad-nosity.
HOW-EV-ER, without A WORD of a lie, this protein PACKED (hello 21 g of protein per serving!) package of pancake mix from About Time showed up at my door the DAY AFTER I had the experience that we no longer speak of.
How that happens, I do not know. But I do not question such amazing things.
Obviously I broke into them ASAP. Like, for dinner. Because I had already eaten breakfast and you just don’t wait for pancakes that are 1. Only 290 calories per serving 2. As we discussed, protein packed 3. SO EASY TO MAKE. You just add water and stir! (does it GET easier?!) 4. Are gluten free and have 6g of fiber per serving! AND 5. CHOCOLATE CHIP YUMS.
Oh, and the “single serving?” Well, it’s HYOOGE. Like 2, 6 INCH pancakes. Which is basically the size of my face.
So. Much. Happy.
These pancakes are preeeetty much a super healthy breakfast, AND they come to 2 flavours: chocolate chip (<3) and cinnamon spice.
You know what else? Besides making AWESOMELY GOOD FOR MY FACE Pancake Mix, About Time makes some D to the licious protein powder.
I mean, Cupcake flavoured protein for only 100 calories, that justsohappens to also be gluten free, non GMO, AND sweetened with my beloved stevia?
I CAN’T RESIST.
And neither should you.
Go out. RIGHT NOW. And bask in the happy-feeding-your-body-GOOD glow of protein pancakes and deliciously flavored protein numminess.
I know I am.

Yes, they are good. BUT, 980mg of sodium in ONE serving? That is not healthy. They almost had a perfect product but having that much sodium just ruins it for me.
If you mash up a banana in one serving of the batter and add coconut milk instead of water, then you get an incredible tasting pancake. I hope they can engineer a recipe with a little less sodium then I will be a true fan.

That sounds tasty, I must try that!
