This rainbow chard recipe includes gluten free pasta, hazelnuts, cherries and a goat cheese white wine sauce for a healthy, romantic dinner that’s ready in 20 minutes!
It’s Sunday. And there is a recipe. Which never happens. Are you confused?
Let me tell you what’s going on here. Super creamy, goat cheese-y (gluten free whatwhat!) pasta that is loaded with SUPAH fresh Rainbow Chard, SUPAH Sweet cherries, SUPAH crunchity-toasty hazelnuts…and white wine.
The TEXTURE. The CREAMY. The CRUNCH. The WINE.
Now you understand why I could not wait to have this healthy bowl of yum and romance (Valentines dinner after your Brioche French Toast? HINT HINT) meet your face any longer.
As I just mentioned, Valentine’s Day is coming up REAL FAST. As in, it’s less than one week away. As in if you don’t have any dinner reservations, well, that ship has probably sailed.
So. I’m saving you from face planting into a plate of bready, notsogood for you chicken covered in sweet and sour sauce for dinner.
You’re welcome.
Let’s talk about pasta. In the year and a half that FFF has had its little place on the interwebz, we have only eaten Spaghetti Carbonara and Healthy Pasta Salad. That is 2 pasta recipes. In 18 MONTHS. WHO AM I and why do I have a secret hate for pasta that I didn’t even know that I had?!
Clearly, this needed to be remedied.
And what is more romantic that pasta with wine, hazelnuts and cherries? Nothing. I even asked The Googlemeister “what food is romantic?” and that is what he told me.
So there.
How-EV-ER, I DID think about adding chocolate.
But, that would be weird. And It would also take away from the whole “healthy bowl of yum” thang in the above mentioned sentences.
Instead of chocolate, I decided it needed something GREEN and leafy. Like Rainbow Chard from San Miguel Produce’s Cut ‘N Clean Greens!
I’m sure you’ve seen these products in your grocery store. They’re completely organic, non-GMO bags of washed, chopped and ready to use specialty greens.
In other words: Bags that are packed FULL OF nutrients AND convenience that will make yo’ body feel all sorts of healthy.
I LUHVE.
Rainbow Chard. Have you guys ever tried this pretty, leafy vegetal delight? It cooks exactly like spinach, but has a slightly bitter taste. So it’s basically perfect with the smooth, and kinda sweet goat cheese, Balsamic vinegar, and honey wine sauce that we’ve got going on here.
And since we’re on the topic of things that are perfect for each other (like you and your sweetie. AWWWW) you know what all of this would pair perfectly with?
You + Above mentioned sweet pie + A bowl + YOUR FACE.
Feb 14. It’s A COMIN’!
