It’s time for your monthly snack post!
Okay, so it’s been every other month lately. I can think of alllll the crazy recipes that require 29430 ingredients, but a simple snack? IT’S SO HARD FOR ME.
This time, we’re talkin’ snackin’ with one of my favorite ingredients/foods EVAH: powdered peanut butter.
When you mix it with water, it tastes pretty darn close to peanut butter….but without the fat and calories, AND it has more PROTEIN!
But, it makes some amazing snacks too. So I have a few to share with your peanut butter loving selves!
Here’s a few simple ideas for your hungry, snacking mouth!
Peanut Butter Yogurt Stuffed Strawberries
- Powdered Peanut Butter
- Non-fat Vanilla Greek yogurt
- Pinch of stevia (or sweetener of choice, if desired, and to taste)
- Strawberries
Simple mix some powered peanut butter and Greek yogurt until it has the consistency you like, and sweeten to taste with desired sweetener. Use a small, sharp knife and hollow out some strawberries. Spoon it inside and DEVOUR.
Chocolate Peanut Butter “Baked” Bananas
- 1 Banana
- Chocolate chips
- Powdered Peanut Butter
- Pinch of stevia (or sweetener of choice, if desired, to taste)
- Water
Slice the banana gently down the middle, being careful not to slice all the way through the banana. Gently pry it open a little bit and sprinkle in a few chocolate chips. Microwave until the chips are melty, about 30 seconds. Mix stevia (or sweetener of choice) to taste with peanut flour and water until desired consistency is reached. Drizzle over the banana and DEVOUR.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Greek Yogurt Bowls
- Non-fat Vanilla Greek Yogurt
- Powdered Peanut Butter
- Pinch of stevia (or sweetener of choice, to taste)
- Mini Chocolate Chips
SUPER EASY: mix up as much Greek yogurt and peanut flour as you wish and sweeten to taste with desired sweetener. Sprinkle on a few chocolate chips and GO TO TOWN.
Peanut Butter Raisin Apple “Nachos”
- Apple
- Powdered Peanut Butter
- Water
- Raisins, minced
Chop an apple into thick wedges. Mix powdered peanut butter with water until a sauce-like consistency is reached. Drizzle the peanut sauce over the apple wedges and sprinkle on the minced raisins. YUM.

Love powdered PB, especially mixed into yogurt and overnight oats! I’ve really wanted to try to bake with it, maybe see if it would work as a sub for almond flour but am not sure if it would work, any idea?
Taylor Kiser says
YES! So good in yogurt and oats!
I can ALMOST guarantee you that it won’t sub for almond flour, so I highly recommend you save yourself the money and don’t try it 🙂

Haha I didn’t think it would work since they are such different textures but was hopeful. I haven’t seen many recipes that use it as a flour in baking so always want to give it a try. I also wish someone would do a “x amount of tablespoons peanut flour and y tbs of water to equal z tbs/cups of actual peanut butter”
Taylor Kiser says
I use it as a flour sometimes!! Here is a popular recipe that uses it: https://www.foodfaithfitness.com/oatmeal-breakfast-bars/
My package actually states that 3 Tbsp powder, 1 1/2 Tbsp water and optional sweetener make 1 Tbsp peanut butter! Could try that?
candace says
Oh those look delicious, I’ll definitely have to give them a try! Thanks for the info! the package I have doesn’t have any conversions on it, just how much water to add per serving
Taylor Kiser says
Well hopefully that conversion works for your brand!! 🙂

Powdered peanut butter is seriously a vice of mine. I could go through a jar in a SNAP! Anyways, all of these ideas look wonderful–especially the bananas!

I love this! I am obsessed with peanut powder! I usually just add it to chocolate protein shakes. i’ve been to chicken to add water & make it a peanut butter. I guess Im worried I’ll be disappointed and it wont taste like peanut butter? But I’m excited to try these snacks!
Taylor Kiser says
I can’t lie to you, real PB is still better because it does have the fat which adds flavor! But it makes a great sub!
