You may never order takeout again after discovering how easy and delicious it is to make Ground Beef And Broccoli Stir-Fry at home!

Beef and broccoli is a popular dish at many American Chinese takeout restaurants. It has long been one of my favorites, but making it at home can sometimes result in tough meat. I found a quick and easy solution to that problem with this recipe for ground beef and broccoli stir-fry.
You get all the flavor of the beef without having to slice the steak and marinate it ahead of cooking to improve tenderness. Not only is it more affordable to use ground beef instead of an expensive cut of steak, but you can also control the fat content by choosing what type of ground beef to purchase.
I like to use 90% lean ground beef because this dish does not require extra fat to keep the meat moist and juicy. That flavor and juiciness come from the delicious sauce that coats every delectable morsel of beef and broccoli.
Stir-fries are my favorite meal to prepare at home because I can do them in one pan or wok and use any protein and veggies I have to hand. They’re also a great way to turn leftovers into something completely different, just like this ground beef and broccoli stir-fry.
Is Ground Beef And Broccoli Stir-Fry Healthy?
This recipe is a healthier alternative to many fast-food dishes available at your local restaurant. That said, you can lower the sodium levels further by using reduced-sodium broth and omitting the added salt. This dish has so much flavor that you won’t even miss it. Using lean ground beef also helps to reduce the fat in the dish. Adding other vegetables can boost the nutritional value and vitamins in the meal. You can also swap out the brown sugar for honey and use gluten-free soy sauce, tamari, or coconut aminos to make this dish gluten-free.

You’ll Love The Versatility Of This Recipe
Just because it’s called “beef and broccoli,” doesn’t mean you have to limit yourself to just broccoli. My favorite additions are thin slices of carrots and bell peppers. I try to find packages of mini bell peppers that have yellow, orange, and red ones for added color contrast.
Other fantastic veggie add-ins are zucchini, green beans, bean sprouts, and chopped spinach or kale. For added crunch, you can also buy cans of bamboo shoots or water chestnuts at the grocery store. Feel free to swap the ground beef for ground turkey, pork, veal, lamb, or chicken. They all work equally as well in this dish.

How do I store leftovers?
Allow leftovers to cool to room temperature before refrigerating in an airtight container for up to 3 days. While you can technically freeze leftovers to reheat later, it’s generally not a good idea as it could ruin the texture of the broccoli.

Serving Suggestions
Although the first thing that comes to mind when serving ground beef and broccoli stir-fry is likely Steamed Rice, don’t discount the incredible flavor that Coconut Rice can bring to this dish. One of my favorite bases for this dish is Quinoa, and if you haven’t tried it yet, wait until you see how good it is with this sauce.
You can also skip the grains and opt for a veggie base for the dish. One popular low-carb option is Cauliflower Rice; here we show you four ways to prepare it. You can also use zucchini, yellow squash, or Butternut Squash Noodles, which are as much fun to eat as they are to make. If you don’t have a spiralizer at home, cut the veggies into long, thin strands. Delish!
