Ingredients
- 2 slices whole grain bread
- 1/2 large ripe avocado or one small avocado
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt plus more to taste
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of garlic powder
- Pinch of onion powder
- Optional: everything bagel seasoning to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes for garnish
Instructions
- Place the 2 slices of whole grain bread in a toaster and toast until golden brown.

- Slice the ripe avocado in half and discard the pit. Scoop out the flesh into a bowl and mash it with a fork. Mix in lemon juice, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Adjust seasonings as needed.

- Evenly spread the avocado mixture on the toasted bread. For added flavor, top with everything bagel seasoning or red pepper flakes if you'd like. Serve right away.
