Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil plus more, for frying
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  • Add the oil and warm water; stir until a dough forms.

  • Knead dough on a floured surface for 3-5 minutes until smooth.

  • Divide the dough in half and roll each half to 1/8-inch thickness.

  • Cut the dough into 3-inch squares.

  • Heat 2 inches of oil to 375°F in a deep pan.
