Slow-Cooker Ground Turkey Tacos with lettuce, shredded cheese, avocado, and a creamy dip.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 small white onion diced
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 pinches cayenne pepper optional
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 soft corn tortillas for serving
  • Shredded lettuce, diced tomato, avocado, or shredded cheese toppings, optional

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Stir in the diced onion and ground turkey. Cook for approximately 5 minutes, or until the turkey is browned and the onion becomes soft. While cooking, break apart the meat.
