Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt optional
Instructions
- Rinse the quinoa and rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed quinoa, rice, water, and salt.

- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the water is absorbed and the grains are tender.

- Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
- Fluff the quinoa rice with a fork and serve.
