Oatmeal Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats or quick oats
  • 1 frozen banana chopped into chunks
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon pure maple syrup plus additional, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Ice optional, for a thicker smoothie

Instructions

  • Place the oats in a blender and pulse until they are finely ground, creating a smooth base for your smoothie.
  • Add the frozen banana chunks, almond milk, peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and kosher salt to the blender with the ground oats.
  • Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency, pausing to scrape down the sides of the blender if necessary.
  • Taste the smoothie and add more maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter flavor. If you want a thicker texture, add ice and blend again.
  • Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy!
