Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- A pinch kosher salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted and cooled slightly
- 6 tablespoons Nutella plus extra for drizzling
- Fresh strawberries sliced, for optional garnish
- Whipped cream for optional garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.

- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix to keep the waffles light.
- Heat Nutella in a microwave-safe bowl for approximately 30 seconds to make it thinner, then carefully swirl it into the batter.

- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Lightly grease it with non-stick spray or a brush of melted butter. Pour the appropriate amount of batter into the iron, then add extra Nutella by drizzling it on top and swirling with a spoon.
- Close the iron and cook the waffle until golden brown and crisp, about 4-5 minutes. Remove waffle and repeat with the remaining batter.
- Allow waffles to rest for 1-2 minutes. Serve warm with additional Nutella drizzled on top. Optional toppings include fresh strawberries or a dollop of whipped cream.
