Ingredients
- 16 ounces white button mushrooms
- 7 tablespoons butter divided
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 1/3 cups half-and-half cream
- 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 2/3 cups grated white cheddar cheese
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Clean mushrooms and dry with a paper towel. Remove and discard caps.

- Melt 3 tablespoons butter. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, melted butter, salt, and pepper until thoroughly incorporated. Set aside.

- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons butter and add minced garlic until fragrant. Add flour and whisk; cook until it turns golden. Stir the mixture while gradually adding half-and-half and Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens.

- Pour half of the Alfredo sauce into the bottom of the baking dish. Next, place mushroom caps on top, add the remaining sauce, then add the white cheddar cheese.

- Top with breadcrumb mixture and bake for 10 minutes. Set the oven to broil and broil until golden brown. Garnish with fresh parsley.
