Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 6 ounces shredded cheese, cheddar or mozzarella, your choice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

- In a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon and reserve about a tablespoon of the bacon fat. Add butter to the skillet and sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side until lightly browned.

- Transfer the seared chicken to a greased 9x9-inch casserole dish. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of extra salt and pepper.

- Spread this mixture evenly over the chicken and sprinkle the reserved bacon on top. Bake for 20-35 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese has melted. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the chicken.

- Remove from the oven and serve hot with a sprinkle of parsley and your favorite keto side dish.
