Ingredients
- Lime wedge for rimming the glass
- Kosher salt for rimming the glass
- 2 ounces tequila preferably blanco or silver
- 2 ounces grapefruit juice freshly squeezed
- 1/2 ounce lime juice freshly squeezed
- 1/4 ounce simple syrup or to taste
- 2 ounces sparkling water
- Grapefruit wedges optional, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare a highball glass by running a lime wedge along the rim, then dipping it into a shallow plate of kosher salt to coat.

- Add the tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and simple syrup to the prepared glass.

- Fill the glass generously with ice and stir gently to combine the ingredients.
- Top with sparkling water and give the drink another gentle stir to blend.

- Garnish with a wedge of grapefruit, if desired, and serve immediately.
