Ingredients
- 8 large peaches peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a Dutch oven, combine the sliced peaches, 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.

- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the melted butter and milk until just combined.
- Spoon the batter over the peach mixture in dollops. Spread gently to cover as much of the peaches as possible.

- Sprinkle the top with the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling. Remove from the oven, place on a wire rack, and allow to cool slightly.

- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
