Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 4 large day-old croissants halved lengthwise
- Butter as needed
- Powdered sugar or maple syrup for garnish
- Fresh berries for garnish
Instructions
- Make the egg mixture by whisking the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Mix until smooth.

- Pour the custard into a shallow dish. Soak each side of the croissants in the mixture for 30 seconds to 1 minute so they can absorb the liquid.
- In a large nonstick pan, melt butter over medium heat to grease the pan.

- Shake off excess liquid from each croissant and cook them undisturbed for about 2 to 4 minutes on each side. They should be golden brown.
- Serve immediately with fresh berries and maple syrup or powdered sugar on top.
