- 16 ounces broccoli florets trimmed to similar sizes
- 5 garlic cloves peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. In a bowl, toss the broccoli and garlic with olive oil, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and red pepper flakes.

- Spread the mixture in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through until the edges are charred.

- Remove from the oven, toss with lemon zest, and serve warm. Garnish with Parmesan if desired.
