Ingredients

  • 16 ounces broccoli florets trimmed to similar sizes
  • 5 garlic cloves peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. In a bowl, toss the broccoli and garlic with olive oil, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and red pepper flakes.

  • Spread the mixture in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through until the edges are charred.
