Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup water
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
- 1 pound flank steak thinly sliced against the grain
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, mirin, sesame oil, and cornstarch until smooth.

- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.

- Add the sliced beef to the skillet and cook for about 2-4 minutes until browned.

- Pour the sauce mixture over the beef. Stir well to coat the beef evenly. Adjust sauce seasoning, adding more brown sugar if needed.

- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Sprinkle green onions on top when serving.
