Avocado Toast with Egg

Ingredients

  • 1 slice whole-grain bread
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes or hot sauce optional

Instructions

  • Toast the bread until golden and crispy.
  • Mash the avocado in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.

  • Heat butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Crack the egg into the skillet and cook until the whites are set and the yolk reaches desired doneness, about 3-5 minutes.
