Ingredients
- 1½ pounds fresh green beans
- 6 slices bacon
- ¼ cup butter melted
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1½ teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 garlic cloves pressed
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Trim the ends of the green beans, then cut them into 1½-inch pieces. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 3 minutes, then immediately drain and plunge them into an ice bath for 3 minutes to stop the cooking process, then drain and pat dry.

- Place the bacon strips on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until they are just cooked through. Let cool on paper towels, then chop into small pieces.

- Spread the blanched green beans in a 9x13-inch baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and pressed garlic. Pour the mixture over the green beans and toss to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper.

- Sprinkle the chopped bacon evenly over the top and bake, uncovered, for 20-30 minutes, until the beans are tender and the flavors have melded. DEVOUR.
