Ingredients
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine tomato sauce, water, white vinegar, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, sugar, and cayenne pepper (if using).

- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally.

- Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes, or until it thickens to your desired consistency. Season with salt to taste.

- Remove the sauce from the heat and allow it to cool before transferring to a jar or container for storage.
