Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 4 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cube chicken bouillon
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the rice and toast for 5 minutes, or until golden brown, stirring frequently,

  • Add the warm water, tomato sauce, chicken bouillon, and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Stir well until combined.

  • Cover the skillet and let simmer for 20–25 minutes over low heat until there is no liquid left. Let the rice sit for 5 minutes, covered.
