Ingredients
- ⅓ cup plain whole milk yogurt
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground allspice
- ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1½ teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into 1½-inch cubes
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, tomato paste, paprika, oregano, cinnamon, allspice, cardamom, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.

- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers. Grill the skewers for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and has nice grill marks.

- Serve hot with sides of your choice, such as pita bread, garlic sauce, and fresh vegetables.
