- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2/3 cup key lime juice
- 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 8 ounces unsalted butter softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 6 1/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Green food coloring optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 8-inch cake pans.

- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

- In another bowl, beat eggs, oil, and key lime juice until smooth.

- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the Greek yogurt.
- Transfer batter to the prepared pans and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool before frosting.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and cream cheese. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, beating until smooth. Add green food coloring if desired. Frost the cooled cakes.
