Hot wings recipe, sauced and garnished with fresh herbs, served with a creamy dip.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds chicken wings separated into two pieces
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  • Dredge the chicken wings in the flour mixture until they are evenly coated on all sides.

  • Arrange the coated wings on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.

  • After baking, remove the wings from the oven. Turn on the broiler. Brush the wings with hot sauce and place them on a higher rack under the broiler for 10 minutes, or until they start to char and become crispy.
