Ingredients
- 3 pounds sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 teaspoon salt plus more ,to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 medium onion thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 1/4 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter cut into pieces
- Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the steak pieces with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.

- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak bites in batches until browned. This step adds flavor but can be skipped if needed.

- Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the Crock Pot.

- Place the steak bites over the onions and garlic.

- Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the steak bites.
- Distribute the butter pieces evenly over the steak.

- Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, until the steak is tender.

- Stir before serving. Serve hot, sprinkled with parsley.
