Cream Cheese Pasta Sauce with fettuccine noodles in a white bowl, garnished with fresh parsley.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked pasta
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the hot pasta water and then drain the pasta.

  • Return the drained pasta to the pot. Add the softened cream cheese and butter. Cover the pot and let it sit for about 1 minute to allow the cream cheese to soften further.

  • Uncover the pot and add garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and oregano. Gradually stir in some of the reserved pasta water while whisking until the cream cheese melts into a smooth, creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Toss the pasta well to coat it evenly with the sauce. If desired, stir in chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
