Ingredients
- 4 medium apples peeled, cored, and chopped
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a large saucepan on medium heat, combine the chopped apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Cover the saucepan and let it reach a simmer.

- Simmer the mixture over medium heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the apples are very soft. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

- Remove from heat. Mash the cooked apples with a fork or potato masher until smooth. Allow the applesauce to cool before serving.
