Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 6 pita breads
- 1 1/4 cups Greek yogurt
- 1 English cucumber grated and drained
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 to 2 tomatoes sliced
- 1 small red onion thinly sliced
- Fresh lettuce chopped
- Crumbled feta cheese optional
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, 4 minced garlic cloves, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add chicken thighs and coat evenly. Marinate for at least 1 hour.

- Grill the marinated chicken over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Let it rest before slicing.

- Combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, dill, 2 minced garlic cloves, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Adjust seasonings and chill until ready to use.

- Warm the pita breads, then add slices of chicken, tzatziki sauce, lettuce, slices of tomato, and red onion. Sprinkle on optional feta cheese. Fold and serve.
