Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/3 cups milk 2%
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese plus more to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk continuously for about 1 minute to form a smooth roux.
