Ingredients

  • 2 pounds russet potatoes
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil divided
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • Onion powder to taste
  • 1 cup diced yellow onion
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 3/4 cup diced dill pickles
  • 1/3 cup burger sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F. Wash and slice the potatoes into 1/2-inch matchsticks. Toss them with 3 teaspoons of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet and sprinkle garlic powder and onion powder on top.

  • Bake for 35-45 minutes, flipping halfway to ensure even crispness.

  • Meanwhile, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the remaining olive oil and sauté 1 cup diced yellow onion until soft.

  • Add lean ground beef, Dijon mustard, ketchup, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and crumbly.

  • Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F. Place the baked fries on a baking sheet and spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over them.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and bake for a few more minutes until the cheese melts.

  • Remove the tray from the oven. Top the fries with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and diced dill pickles. Drizzle burger sauce over the toppings. Serve hot immediately.
