Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 medium red cabbage cored and sliced
  • 2 apples cored and sliced
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

Instructions

  • Preheat a large pot over medium heat and add olive oil. Sauté the onions for about 5 minutes, until they become soft and translucent.
