Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen chicken wings drumettes and flats
  • Your favorite low-sodium chicken rub or seasoning blend to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: carrot and celery stick

Instructions

  • Skip the thaw! Ensure your air fryer is ready to go, and preheat it to 400°F.
  • Place the frozen chicken wings in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd for even cooking. Air fry for 6 minutes at 400°F to start the crisping process.
  • After the initial cook time, open the basket and gently break apart any wings that are sticking together. Sprinkle your wings with a healthy dose of your chosen chicken rub and a black pepper.
  • Continue air frying the seasoned wings for another 12-15 minutes at 400°F. Halfway through, open the basket and flip the wings. They're done when they turn golden brown (and an internal temperature of 165°F).
