Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized whole carrots
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Optional for serving: 2 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese skip for dairy-free option
  • Optional for serving: 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Prepare the Carrots: Peel the carrots using a vegetable peeler and trim off the ends. If the carrots are long, cut them in half, then slice into 1/4-inch thick sticks.

  • Season the Carrot Fries: In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, kosher salt and black pepper. Drizzle the carrot sticks with avocado oil, toss to coat and then sprinkle with the seasoning mix.

  • Air Fry the Carrot Fries: Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with an oil spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the carrot fries in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 8-12 minutes. Don't forget to give the gently shake the basket halfway.
